Job Summary: Responsibilities include implementation of corporate’s quality policy in the responsible regions, and optimization of the quality management, support quality assurance requirements, developing quality plans to ensure the approved drawings and specifications are met, and perform testing and inspection of the assigned products to the requirement (ITP/QP) and prepare quality reports as per the approved process as required; support the team members to improve the quality performance in the specific regions (countries); in addition, this role shall also be able to support the sourcing activities under souring engineering’s guidance if having free capacity Main Tasks: ? Guide the implement the quality policy and procedures in the specific region (countries) ? Perform supplier admission audit, which normally includes initial assessment, risk assessment; perform the annual audit and improvement action and its verification ? Support team members to improve suppliers’ quality KPI, generating performance reports ? Review the technical requirements for the assigned products/projects, identify the critical requirements and potential risks. ? Undertake quality control tasks for assigned products, develop product quality control plans as per approved drawings and specifications and prepare inspection reports; this will normally cover preparing FAI requirement, bubble drawings, inspection format, testing report and coordination with the engineering team to obtain the FAI approval ? Perform first lot inspection to ensure compliance to approved drawings, sketches, specifications etc. and complete first article inspection reports (FAIR) as necessary; perform quality verification before delivery of key projects ? Ensure drawing versions and revisions are accurately maintained, and support translation to Chinese if required. ? Monitor suppliers’ overall delivery performance (PPM, OT, pass rate), communicating the NCR (nonconformance report), and claiming the commercial compensation due to quality issues ? Delivery quality training to suppliers, improve suppliers’ quality awareness and capability ? Support design and draft testing fixtures or inspection tools as required. ? Coordinate with test lab (either external or internal) to facilitate product validation. ? Support subsidiaries and quality assurance teams that have quality issue or concerns related to current suppliers, with implementing corrective and preventative action plans to ensure supplier can meet the product specification and demand requirements; hold the regular meeting with engineering and quality team to facilitate the problem solving activities ? Support RFx (RFQ, RFI, RFT) under the guidance of sourcing engineers, clarifying and summarizing the quotes collected from suppliers Skills & Experience: ? Skilled in suppliers’ quality management, good at use various tools like (APQP, PPAP, 8D, PDCA etc), familiar with ISO 9001 quality management system ? 5 years quality management experience (QC is preferred) in power fitting/hardware industries ? Solid technical background with experience of at least one of the following manufacturing processes: mechanical assemblies, fabrication, casting, or forging, and a good understanding of NDT (Nondestructive testing) and heat treatment of metal material ? Skilled in using universal inspection tools and instruments ? Good understanding of lean manufacturing principles and methods ? Good communicator (including fluency in English both written and oral) & coordinator ? Confident and capable supplier relationship management. ? Basic knowledge for international trading regulations and best practices Qualifications and Educational Requirements ? Education: o 4-year Colleague’s Degree in an engineering discipline with a good understanding of technical specifications and manufacturing processes. ? Computer Skills: o Strong PC Competency Requirements including Windows, Intermediate Power Point, Intermediate Word, and Advanced Excel. ? Travel Requirements: o Frequent, approximately 55% ? Other Qualifications/Experience or Skills: o Strong team spirits o Excellent problem-solving skills. o Strong at multi-tasking o Hard working
